What types of campaigns do you run?
We run both ongoing and seasonal programs directly supporting our BPD family and the Broomfield community. Current programs include the Benevolence Fund (supporting personnel through life’s unexpected moments), the Santa Cops Program (bringing holiday joy to Broomfield children), and the General Fund (fueling our overall mission as we grow). As the Foundation grows, new programs and campaigns will be added — check back often to see what’s new!
How can I donate to support?
Donating is easy! You can give online directly through our website, or make a cash donation at any of our community events. Checks can be made payable to the Broomfield Police Foundation. Every contribution — big or small — goes directly toward the people and programs that make Broomfield stronger.

Our programs directly touch the lives of our BPD family and the community they serve. The Benevolence Fund is there for personnel when life throws the unexpected their way. The Santa Cops Program creates lasting memories for local children during the holiday season. And every general donation helps us grow and do more. As a new foundation, our impact will only get bigger — and you’re a part of that.
How do your campaigns build trust?
Trust is built through showing up — and that’s exactly what we do. By bringing the community together at events like National Night Out and Broomfield Days, standing beside our BPD family during their hardest moments through the Benevolence Fund, and creating joyful connections through the Santa Cops Program, we create real opportunities for people and their police department to see each other as neighbors and partners. That’s how trust grows.
What are your top priorities?
Our top priorities are the wellness of our entire BPD family, community connection, and building a foundation — literally — that can grow and serve Broomfield for years to come. In the near term that means funding the Benevolence Fund, showing up at community events, and expanding our programs as resources allow. Long term, we want to be the bridge that keeps Broomfield PD and this community strongly connected.

Where does my donation go?
Every dollar donated to the Broomfield Police Foundation goes directly toward the people and programs that make Broomfield stronger. Contributions fund the Benevolence Fund — supporting all BPD personnel, sworn and non-sworn, through life’s unexpected moments — the Santa Cops Program for local children, and the General Fund that keeps our mission moving forward. We are committed to transparency and ensuring every donation creates real, local impact right here in Broomfield.
Donations can be directed to the Benevolence Fund, Santa Cops Program, or General Fund — or left undesignated to go where the need is greatest.
How often do you hold campaigns?
Our Benevolence Fund and General Fund are ongoing year-round, so there is always a way to give. Seasonal programs like the Santa Cops Program run at specific times of year — but donations to fund them are always welcome and needed!
